Chernobyl Catastrophe

On the 26th of April 1986 a catastrophe broke out in Chernobyl. It was the major break-down of the power unit at the Chernobyl nuclear power station. It is the most severe catastrophe throughout the entire history of the atomic energy and the whole world still suffers 30_______ the consequences of this terrible event.

As the result of the explosion of the failed reactor a huge amount of radioactive substances was released into the atmosphere. There is no exact information about who is responsible 31________ what happened, but most of the commissions believe that the cause of the accident was a gross violation of the Operating Regulations.
