I looked out of the window as the train slowly pulled away from the platform. The sky was bright and cloudless—not at all what I expected after last night’s storm. "I don’t think you’ll be needing that!" Sarah said, glancing at my large green and pink spotted umbrella. "It’s a beautiful day—perfect for the Notting Hill Carnival." When we arrived in Notting Hill, it was still early. We wandered through the stalls, admiring the beautifully decorated floats. By the time the parade started, thousands of people had gathered along the streets. The air was filled with the rhythm of funky Caribbean music, and people in multi-colored costumes danced joyfully. "Look at that costume!" Sarah shouted to me. But at that moment, I had gotten distracted by a nearby stall and lost sight of her. When I turned around, she was gone. I called her name, but the crowd was too loud. I felt a wave of panic—where had she gone? Suddenly, a loud clap of thunder rumbled through the sky, and within minutes, heavy rain began to pour. "Oh no, this is just what I need," I thought, trying to find shelter. But then I remembered—my umbrella! I quickly opened it, hoping it would help me stand out in the crowd. Moments later, I saw Sarah rushing toward me, completely drenched but looking relieved. Dripping wet, we found the nearest café and hurried inside. "Who would have thought," Sarah said as she sipped her hot coffee, "that a sudden downpour would be good luck?" I smiled. "Yes, without it, you wouldn’t have spotted my special umbrella, Sarah!"т сократить пртмер
